Due to so many "owner give up's" and over-crowding of the local animal shelters, cook county canines strives to educate and support families who share their home with a canine companion(s) through ongoing training programs. Cook county canines will take the time to listen to the concerns and issues in regards to the "no, no, bad dog" syndrome and help the family troubleshoot to turn those "bad" behaviors around to create a well behaved canine addition to your family.
Cook County Canines offers a variety of Training Classes for you and your canine companion. Group classes are held indoors and outdoors at different locations all throughout Cook County Illinois. Since schedules do not always allow us to be available on the same day at the same time for several weeks in a row, cook county canines offers a flexible training schedule for the human and canine participants. Puppies that are between the ages of 10 weeks and 5 months old. This program gives the puppy and human partner a good foundation in understanding their puppy’s behavior, introduction to puppy level obedience commands, introduction to grooming, toys, nutrition, socialization, choosing a vet, and building their level of confidence and self-esteem. Six-week program.
Adolescent and adult canines that are over five months of age. The course follows a positive reinforcement method of training and covers verbal and manual commands. Eight week program.

cOOK COUNTY CANINES EXTENDS A 10% DISCOUNT ON TRAINING SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE US ARMED FORCES AND OFFICERS OF FEDERAL, STATE, OR MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND OFFICERS OF fIRE DEPARTMENTS.
Canines over five months of age who have achieved a basic level of training. CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward canines who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for canines. Six week program.
Canines over eight months of age who have completed a basic level of training. Agility is a wonderful way of developing a stronger bond between owner and canine. The human partner communicates with their canine through verbal and hand signal commands while maneuvering through an obstacle course. Six week program. Running the Course, is a continuation of Agility. eight week program.
Rally -O is geared for adolescent and adult canines that are over five months of age. Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler work as a team to complete a course. The team of dog and handler moves continuously at their own pace through a course of designated stations. Six week program.

different to do. Canines
